Stortemelk

The Ship is named after the rough and treatures water between the isladn Vlieland and the island Terschelling, in the North of the Netherlands. When the wind is blowing half a gale, the water there starts foaming and turns nearly as white as milk. Stortemelk is translated flooding milk.

After being used as a fishing vessel for 32 years, the Stortemelk was refitted in 1993 to become a sailing ship with people. The slim lines of the ship and its effective rigging, make her a sportive sailing vessel that does well close hauled and at a beam reach. Below decks you will find an interior with a luxurious feeling to it. There are 9 cabins, 2 showers and 3 toilets. The enthusiastic crew on board are also the owners of the ship. The love taking you with them on a journey along the coasts with many islands, into the Baltic sea and beyond. Adventure and love for sailing is what it is all about!
